Christantus Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their maiden continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This occasion provided a chance for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in match.
The Shelbourne side that had finished their domestic season were outmatched against a largely rotated Palace outfit. The visitors were further weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee problems.

Pino Seals the Game
The match was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
